FAQ

Where is your office located?

I do not have a physical office location; however, I provide telehealth services throughout New Jersey, so my office is wherever you are!

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I take Aetna, Optus, and Cigna. I can also provide a superbill for those clients wishing to utilize out-of-network benefits.

What are your hours?

I work Monday-Friday and offer sessions between 8 am and 5 pm.

How long are sessions?

While I block out a full hour for a session, sessions are typically 50 minutes long, so we have a few minutes of wiggle room.

How much do you charge?

Sessions are $150 per hour.

How do I set up an appointment?

You can use the link at the bottom of this page, call, or email to schedule a session.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require a 24-hour cancellation notice to avoid a full session fee of $150. Cancellation fees are not covered by insurance.

What type of video service do you use for telehealth?

I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure our sessions are secure and confidential.

Is it normal to feel nervous?

Yes! And that’s absolutely okay. The unknown can always be anxiety-provoking, and opening up to a stranger may be difficult. I promise to put your nerves at ease and make the process nothing to worry about.

With whom do you work?

I work with adults ages 18+.

What types of problems do you work with?

I see clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD-related issues.

What is a typical session like?

The floor is yours. You can talk about what is going on in your life, thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Many people share that they feel better just from being able to talk about what they are experiencing.

I will listen to understand, while providing insight, support, and guidance. I will help you see things differently and give you the tools and skills to cope and achieve the goals you set for yourself.

Will there be assignments to do between sessions?

Yes, I will always provide you with things to try or focus on between sessions. None of this is graded, so it’s up to you to practice outside of sessions. I aim to help you reach your goals and build the confidence to handle all that life throws at you.

What treatment modalities do you use?

I use evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

What’s your professional training and experience?

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 13 years and have been in the field for almost 20 years. I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults in various settings, including outpatient, crisis, and foster care.

I’ve gained a lot of experience over the years. When I became a mom, I knew the hours were unsustainable for me. I made some changes and transitioned into private practice about three years ago. I have finally found a balance that I’ve helped many others create. This is my newfound passion because I know it works when you implement the tools and act!

Is it ok to cry?

Of course! Many people apologize for crying during sessions; my response is always the same. Never apologize for crying! It’s therapeutic and can be a good release of emotion, so crying is always encouraged.

Are you a cat or dog person?

While I love all animals, I’m a dog person!! Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my special guy two years ago, but I always encourage clients to bring their pets to sessions!

What does CARE stand for?

It stands for Compassion-Action-Results-Elevate.

You are more likely to act when met with compassion and give compassion to yourself. Action leads to results, and momentum is unstoppable once you see results, so you can elevate your life! You may even achieve things you never thought were possible!
